Beeindruckend sind die Statements von Mc Cain und dem Flaggschiff der Konservativen, der National Review, zu Barack Obamas Wahl.

So etwas aus dem Mund eines politischen Gegeners zu hören, der bis gestern mir wirklich allen Mitteln gegen einen kämpfte, zeugt von der Fähigkeit verlieren zu können, denn besser könnte es ein  Unterstützer Obamas auch kaum ausdrücken:

I will never forget the moment in January 1961, when John F. Kennedy was sworn in as president. I was watching his inaugural address in the cafeteria of the Harvard Law School, when I was startled by feeling warm tears streak down my cheeks. I was caught by surprise; I had not expected that. That is one great blessing of this election.

Noch einmal: der dies schreibt ist Mitherausgeber der National Review, die zusammen mit dem Weekly Standard, den Republikanern durch dick und dünn die Stange hält und für die ansonsten ein Abtreibungsbefürworter schon im Ruch kommunistischer Umtriebe steht und stand.
